Federal and State grants are supporting the development of the Pennsylvania Broadband Consortium (PBC) project in a precedent setting strategy that looks to bring broadband communication service to rural and underserved areas throughout the Commonwealth. A Federal grant has been awarded to PBB by The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC - www.arc.org) matched by a State grant from the Pennsylavania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED - www.inventpa.com) to develop three (3) "pilot projects" in the Commonwealth.
